A prominent hacker, suspected to be behind the Snowflake (Ticketmaster) hack earlier this year, somehow got himself identified by the misinformation he posted on Telegram after threatening the chief research officer at a US cybersecurity firm. Little more information is available at this time.
Perhaps he posted the same li(n)es on an old X account that was linked to his personal phone number, or otherwise has a unique manner of typing online.
“Why would he target a company that is not working on his case and specializes in identifying cybercriminals?” said Nixon. “It is just the stupidest thing ever.”
