Iran launched attacks (under code name: ‘True Promise’) on Israel in retaliation for an earlier attack by Israel on its consulate (embassy) in Syria, which resulted in 7 IRGC members’ casualties.
Electronic Warfare
1. GPS
The United States and Israel employed GPS jamming as Iran launched over four hundred drones and several ballistic missiles. The GPS jamming map is derived from ADS-B information shared by aircraft.
2. EM/RF Jamming
In response, Israeli and American bases in the Middle East are implementing extensive electronic warfare measures, including jamming, decoys, and sabotage, to counter the incoming drone onslaught.
3. Satellite interference
Apparently Russian 🇷🇺 GLONASS is being sabotaged in parts of Iraq by jamming / hijacking signals from satellites where some Iranian missiles and drones take their navigation aids.
The attack has been confirmed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, as well as the United States 🇺🇸 and Israel.
Israel, Iran, Jordan 🇯🇴, Syria 🇸🇾, and Iraq 🇮🇶 have closed their airspace to civil aviation.
Furthermore, Jordan and Israel have declared a state of emergency.
Additionally, Houthi forces from Yemen 🇾🇪 have launched dozens of drones.
Hizbollah has fired dozens of rockets 🚀 in North of Israeli territory and occupied Golan Heights.
Iranian proxies in Iraq voved to advance any attack shall there be any retaliation on Iran after this (missile) attack.
